Test Results
Dorris-Eaton seventh and eighth graders outperform most high school seniors.
While we don't believe standardized test scores are the only—or even the best—measure of success, we're humbly proud that many of our seventh and eighth grade students qualify for and take the SAT (the same test high school juniors and seniors take) and consistently score above local and national high school seniors. A high percentage of them achieve honors with distinction or state recognition in math, verbal, or both.
Student Acceptance
Dorris-Eaton students regularly attend top-tier high schools and leading colleges.
No matter what path students take after graduating from our junior high, they are well-prepared and well-positioned to be successful.

East Bay Debate League
The East Bay Debate League is a middle school public debate program that includes both public and private middle school students in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Students grapple with complex state, federal, and global issues currently being discussed by adults.
At the close of each tournament, the 15 individuals who have collected the most speaker points, the 10 teams with the most wins, and the 3 schools with the highest win percentage are recognized. The most coveted recognition at each tournament is the awarding of the tournament gavel which is presented to the student earning the most speaker points.
