Dorris-Eaton Parents
A shared commitment to your child's education.
We encourage parents to be a part of the school community. Parents have the opportunity to drive on local field trips and some may even accompany students on the more adventurous overnight trips as well. They also enjoy volunteering to assist during their children’s weekly library visits. In addition, teachers may invite parents to assist with classroom projects or share their personal expertise that supports the curriculum.
The Dorris-Eaton Parents' Association (DEPA) is an active facet of the school environment. In addition to spearheading the cultural enrichment assemblies, which bring the magical and the exotic to campus through live performances, DEPA hosts schoolwide family events, sponsors the annual book fair, coordinates Teacher Appreciation Week, and provides day-brighteners throughout the school year for students and faculty alike.
The enthusiastic support offered by our parent volunteers is greatly valued by students, teachers, and administrators alike.
